Twenty truckloads of merchandise, fixtures, and furniture were donated to Gulfstream Goodwill Industries by the new owners in April. The store is clean, the prices are fair (better when things go on sale or clearance), and it never seems to be overly crowded. 4 steps up from WalMart, two up from KMart and (since Federated destroyed Burdines) only a step or two down from Macys. Anchored by Sobeys and Eatons, the centre attracted such retailers as Western Furniture, Reitmans, DAllairds, Birks, Kresges, Woods, The Candy Corner, McKnights Hardware, Gorden B Isnor, Black Night Lounge, The Nova Scotia Liquor Commission, The Royal Bank and Goldbers Mens Wear. Good Words for Burdines Waterfront Marina, Boot Key Harbor, Marathon, FL. Burdines Waterfront Marina overlooks the Boot Key westerly approach channels northerly banks, just a quick hop east from Panchos Fuel Dock. Burdines Marina in Marathon is nice, friendly people, and a great Tiki Bar / Restaurant. During the last seven years it was open, the downtown store focused more on value merchandise and clearance items with no better or designer merchandise carried. Products Clothing, footwear, bedding, furniture, jewelry, beauty products, electronics and housewares. It is now a Macys Furniture Gallery location and a Macys Furniture Clearance Center on the upper level, and now has a Macys Mens Store on the lower level. One floor of the Town Center location, which had originally opened as Macys, became a Richs-Macys Furniture Gallery location. Gottschalks Mainline, clearance, etc. Maas Brothers (Tampa), merged into Burdines in 1991.
